Today we look at the Olympic Games bidding process--namely, the fact that once again, Olympic bid cities have been dropping like flies. It's eerily similar to the bidding process for the 1984 Olympics, when Los Angeles was the only city to host.
One important element of an Olympic Games is its mascot. We're right in the middle of the mascot contest for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, so we wanted to explore the concept of the Olympic mascot. We look at how mascots came to be and why they're so important to an Olympic city.
